Daycare Early Childhood Classroom Design

This daycare early childhood classroom design is for the Gate of Glory Nursery in Qatar, which is suitable for kids aged 1-2.5 years old. At the same time, this daycare early childhood classroom design integrates the nursery’s characteristics and children’s physical and mental development needs to create an overall design layout, so that kids can study, communicate, and grow in a scientific, diversified, and warm daycare early childhood classroom environment.

Given that the daycare center serves toddlers, the Mooton Group specifically conceives a design scheme for the early childhood classroom. The toddler classroom also uses the Montessori Education Philosophy as the design guideline and the design layout of the classroom adopts the open space design, allowing children to move freely in different functional areas, explore their areas of interest, and encouraging them to communicate with their classmates, cultivate their social skills, and improve their independence.

To implement the design concept of learning in nature, this early childhood classroom incorporates numerous natural elements drawn from nature into the overall design and it also adds some design elements from human products, cartoons, and other aspects. In addition, the toddler classroom uses logs and green as the primary color tones and applies other bright and warm colors as embellishments to create a relaxing and comfortable classroom environment.
