Kumo’s Wanderland Activity Room in Texas, USA
Designed and delivered by Mooton, this project is an immersive dream playground for children aged 0 – 10, covering a total area of 6,500 sq ft. The space features a creative three-level structure connected by winding crawl nets and crystal-clear acrylic aerial pathways, seamlessly linking a two-story role-playing castle with a cognitive play zone. Key areas include: Interstellar Reception, Toddler Soft Play Area, Sensory Integration Zone, Cloud Café, Sky Play Zone, Role-Playing Area, Intellectual Zone, and Nebula Party Room.

The Application Of Design Concept
Design: An arched entrance with starry lights leads to a spaceship-themed reception desk. A curved accent wall features a swirling nebula motif, and the floor includes embedded glowing galaxy details.
Function: Makes a memorable first impression. Provides efficient check-in, security checks, and storage, while clearly guiding guests to each zone.
Design: A safely enclosed space with full soft flooring. Kids enter through a rainbow arch tunnel into a friendly rocket ship, then slide into a ball pool. The area also includes sensory panels and interactive wall games.
Function: Offers a secure environment for crawling, walking, and sensory play—promoting tactile and visual development and early spatial awareness.
Design: Accessed from the Toddler Area’s rocket, this zone features balance beams, rockers, jumping mats, and educational wall panels.
Function: Helps develop balance, motor skills, coordination, and vestibular function during critical growth stages.
Design: A blue starry-sky themed counter, cloud-shaped hanging lights, cloud-style booth seating along the walls, circular banquettes around columns, and flexible seating arrangements accommodate various social needs.
Function: A comfortable spot for parents to relax, socialize, and supervise kids while enjoying refreshments.
Design: An impressive three-story structure with ground-level obstacles, mid-level slides into ball pools, acrylic tunnels, and crawl nets linking towers and play areas. Climbing nets lead to a transparent lookout platform, with spiral stairs connecting to other levels. The entire unit is finished in gradient blues and purples with starry LED lights and glowing clouds for a dreamy look.
Function: An integrated physical challenge area that encourages climbing, crawling, and sliding. Develops strength, courage, coordination, and problem-solving. Elevated tunnels and nets offer unique perspectives and connections.
Design: A two-story castle with a supermarket, café, fire station, and princess room on the first floor, and a construction site, animal clinic, police station, and dress-up room on the second. Acrylic tunnels, stairs, and nets connect to other zones. An outdoor farm-themed section lets kids harvest pretend crops and care for toy animals.
Function: Encourages imaginative and social play. Realistic props and settings let children role-play as chefs, engineers, doctors, heroes, and more—boosting language, cooperation, and emotional skills.
Design: Modern tech elements combined with natural wood. The first floor includes a light-up peg wall, STEM gear wall, and light-shadow play table; the second floor has an astronomy-themed interactive drawing screen.
Function: Focuses on brain-building and concentration. Offers STEM toys, construction sets, magnetic games, and scientific tools to foster logic, creativity, and curiosity.
Design: A private party space with a central LED stage, thematic display shelves, a customizable dessert table, festive wall decor and mood lighting, and modular kid-sized tables and chairs. Includes basic sound and lighting systems.
Function: Ideal for birthdays, themed events, storytelling, performances, and classes—providing a fun and immersive celebration experience.
